Simon has said that the current hot streak that Devils are enjoying will not come to an end that soon. Weekend wins over Nottingham Panthers (6-5) and Dundee Stars (7-1) took the Devils top with third-placed Sheffield in the best position to launch a challenge having games in hand.
The league leaders head north with former Steelers Gerad Adams, Ryan Finnerty and Phil Hill in their ranks and will be backed by a large contingent of Devils fans.
But Simon – who knows victory will lift the Steelers to within two points of Cardiff with a game in hand – promised: “We will dictate the play and we can beat them on our own ice. I'll have my lucky ice skates out, so we'll be feeling confident!"
